Its facility was originally the North American Research Center for IBM, the place where the first IBM PC was developed. The data center is located in one of the largest hurricane proof commercial sites in the US , built to withstand a direct hit from a category 5 hurricane and sits above the 100 year flood plain. 

It features redundant utility power feeds, MGE UPS equipment and a large 10MW backup generator farm sufficient fuel onsite to run for three weeks. Power tests are performed monthly and quarterly. The data center is kept at optimum temperature by chilled water Leibert air conditioning units fed by a large water chilling plant.

The company uses quality Cisco equipment in its network. The network connections to NTT/Verio are 100% Cisco on both sides The Verio connections route directly to South Florida ’s triple redundant fiber SONET ring. There is no local loop, no common carrier facility to go through.

Server Equipment:

Bocacom sells excellent general-purpose Dell PowerEdge dedicated servers. Customers can choose the right configuration for their needs, or get one built from the company.

Services:

Bocacom offers several options for customizing a dedicated server. Servers are available within 24 hours of order confirmation. Servers are available with PLesk , DirectAdmin, cPanel or Webmin Control Panel installed to allow for easier maintenance of your system. All of these are a web-based interface that allows for easy point and click administration of your server.

Each dedicated server package is set up with 1 IP and you may request up to 4 more IPs at no additional charge and includes a generous amount of data transfer per month measured in GB.

Upgrades such as additional RAM, a larger hard drive or an additional hard drive are normally available within 1 day

Bocacom offers FTP backup space on RAID 5 servers. Adult content is not permitted on Bocacom dedicated servers at this time.

Support:

Although Bocacom provides self-managed servers, support technicians are available 7 days a week to help out if you have a problem. You are provided with advice or hands-on service as needed. Trouble Tickets are issued on the site if you have an emergency & these are automatically monitored and alerts are sent to on-call personnel. General support is provided through the Bocacom forums. You are also given the owners phone number to contact if a critical trouble ticket goes unanswered. Members have their own login page.

Bocacom offers multiple payment plans to suit a client’s budget. The Linux plan starts from $ 99/mth; & the windows plan starts from $ 199/mth. They offer basic, power & extreme plans for Celeron, Pentium & Xeon Windows control panel is available, starting at $25/mth
